Garage Door Before & After in Fort Worth, TX

We could tell you we do careful work, but honestly, the photos say it better. Below are real transformations from actual Fort Worth garages: spring failures in Wedgwood, opener swaps in Ridglea Hills, full door replacements near TCU. Each one shows the condition we found, what we did about it, and how it looked when we pulled out of the driveway. No stock photos. No staging. Just the work.

Torsion Spring Failure on a Double Door in Wedgwood

BeforeBeforeAfterAfter
Before: snapped right-side torsion spring, door stuck half open.
BeforeBeforeAfterAfter
After: matched pair of new springs, door balanced and quiet.

The homeowner called at 7:15 a.m. because the door would not budge. We found the right spring snapped clean through, which left the left spring holding all the tension and the door cocked sideways in the track. We replaced both springs as a matched pair, not just the broken one. When springs fail, they usually fail within weeks of each other, and a mismatched pair pulls unevenly. We rebalanced the door, lubricated the rollers and hinges with a pet-safe lubricant, and had it running at 62 decibels when we tested it with a meter. The homeowner’s dog slept through the whole thing.

Garage Door Opener Replacement in Ridglea Hills

BeforeBeforeAfterAfter
Before: 20-year-old chain-drive opener, loose chain, grinding gears.
Technician using a level to inspect and repair garage door tracks
After: LiftMaster belt-drive unit with battery backup, Wi-Fi enabled.

This one was loud enough to wake the kids every time someone left for work. The chain had stretched past adjustment, the gears were stripped, and the opener was bolted to a ceiling bracket that had worked loose over two decades. We pulled the old unit, reinforced the mounting point, and installed a belt-drive LiftMaster with battery backup so the door still works when a summer storm knocks out power. The difference in noise is dramatic. The homeowner called back two days later and said they kept checking to see if the door had actually opened because they could not hear it from the kitchen anymore.

Full Door Replacement: Wood-Look Steel in Arlington Heights

Technician performing professional garage door roller repair and maintenance
Before: steel door with two deep dents, rust along the bottom panel, and a failing seal.
Technician performing professional garage door spring repair and maintenance
After: Clopay wood-look steel door with new weather seal and quiet rollers.

The old door had taken a hit from a basketball stand the wind had thrown into it, and the bottom panel was rusting from years of sitting against a wet slab after the seal dried out and cracked. The homeowner wanted the look of a carriage-house wood door without the maintenance. We measured the opening, ordered a Clopay wood-look steel door with a factory finish, and installed it with nylon rollers and a new vinyl bottom seal. We also replaced the weatherstripping around the jambs. The finished door is insulated to R-18, which matters in August when that west-facing wall bakes all afternoon.

Off-Track and Bent Panel Repair in North Richland Hills

Two technicians installing a new white sectional residential garage door
Before: bottom panel bent, two rollers popped out of the track.
Technician using a power drill to install garage door bottom weather seal
After: panel straightened, new rollers and hinges, door running true.

Someone backed into this door with a trailer hitch. The bottom panel took the impact, two rollers popped out, and the door was wedged against the jamb at an angle that made the homeowner nervous to touch it. We straightened the panel enough to restore the door’s integrity, reset the track alignment, and replaced the damaged rollers and hinges. The door is not new, but it opens and closes smoothly and seals evenly across the bottom. The honest truth: a severe hit like this often means panel replacement, and we will tell you when repair makes sense and when it does not.

Quiet Kit: Rollers, Hinges, and Spring Adjustment in Benbrook

Technician using a power drill to install garage door bottom weather seal
Before: steel rollers with flat spots, dry bearings, squealing hinges.
Technician performing professional garage door torsion spring adjustment and repair
After: nylon rollers, new hinges, spring tension adjusted.

The door functioned fine, but every open cycle sounded like a dumpster lid slamming around in the track. The rollers had flat spots from years of use, and the hinges were dry enough to squeal. We replaced all the rollers with nylon ones, swapped the worst hinges, adjusted the spring tension, and lubricated every moving point. The family has a newborn whose room sits directly above the garage. The mom told us she stopped timing feedings around the door noise. That is the whole point of what we do.

Cable Replacement and Safety Inspection in Saginaw

Professional technician performing garage door spring repair
Before: cable showing broken strands and uneven winding on the drum.
Technician performing professional garage door spring repair with specialized tools
After: new cables on both sides, drum checked, door level and balanced.

The homeowner noticed the door was lifting slightly crooked and called before it got worse. That is the right instinct. We found the left cable fraying and the door pulling unevenly because the tension was no longer equal on both sides. Cables live under enormous tension. This is not a DIY repair. We replaced both cables as a set, inspected the drums and spring, and leveled the door. We finished with a full safety check, including the auto-reverse sensors, which the homeowner’s kids test regularly by running through the beam. Every sensor we left behind was working perfectly.
